What we’ll be covering

This is session #5 in our bass series you’ll learn some of the most iconic bass lines that shape how we play bass whilst imparting tips, advice and tricks to help you sound great on the bass.

The artists include: Fleetwood Mac, The Beatles, Queen, Thin Lizzy, Eric Clapton, Stevie Wonder, The Beach Boys, The Bee Gees, Chic, Led Zeppelin and many more. We’ll look at two or three of these during this, and the other, sessions.

In the session we’ll be learning some of these classic bass lines as well as focusing on correct techniques, underlying know-how and the usual suspects of the chords, rhythm and feel.

In addition to learning how to play these great lines we’ll explore some different ways to take the same bass lines and start using them in your own playing.

It’s always best to attend live rather than just buying the materials.

This latest series consists of four sessions (#5, #6, #7 and #8); the sessions are sequential and so you will get much more out of them by committing to all 4 sessions (recommended and it has a discounted price). But you can also pick ‘n’ mix with individual sessions.

As usual, the session comes with a comprehensive set of support materials.

Materials

  • Lesson PDF – this is usually provided after the live session. This means that the PDF is comprehensive and focused on what was actually covered to fully complement the live Zoom recording of the session.
  • Any backing tracks used will also be made available.
  • A Zoom recording of the complete live session.

Who’s this session suitable for?

Beginner to intermediate players (bass and guitar alike).

Home practice

The session is 60 minutes long; don’t expect to master everything during the session. The tutor will go through all the key parts, demonstrating them and discussing the associated techniques and know-how.

The real work is done by you afterwards. Armed with the materials (PDFs, backing tracks and video  recording), you’ll have all the tools to work on things at your own pace.

Booking a place and buying options
