In this session we’ll be learning a solo guitar arrangement of Neil Young’s classic song, Tell Me Why and gradually layering it with various techniques and embellishments to give it new life. Both beginner and intermediate levels are well catered for with lots of takeaways to apply to other songs you play.

If you can master some or all of the above you’re be motoring on the guitar. Great for beginner levels and above.
The actual choice of song will be announced just before the course. This session is an excellent taster (and prep) for our upcoming Big Jamboree Weekend in January in Scotch Corner when we’ll learn lots more Americana songs and explore oodles of great techniques/know-how in a lot more detail. BTW, the Sunday is solely a performance/jam session with a pro rhythm section (guitar, bass, drums) – great fun.
High Beginner to Intermediate acoustic or electric guitar.
The session is 60 minutes long; don’t expect to master everything during the session. The tutor will go through all the key parts, demonstrating them and discussing the associated techniques and know-how.
The real work is done by you afterwards. Armed with the materials (PDFs, any backing tracks and video recording), you’ll have all the tools to work on things at your own pace.
