Let's talk Guitar Grades

What will we be covering?

Guitar grades offer a structure to learning the guitar and music in general. We’ll discuss the pros and cons of embarking on them. We’ll discuss the what, why, how of taking them on:

• Why do grades?
• What paths are there? Do you need to sit exams or just go through the process?
• What should you expect to get out of them?
• How much work is involved?
• Is it time dependent?
• What’s in the syllabuses?
• Acoustic and/or electric guitars?
• What level of knowledge and proficiency is required?
• Is it all theory? Are there any songs to learn?
• Which grade should we start on?
• How can Guitar Weekends help?
• And lots more.

We’ll keep the session relatively short but Andy will be open to questions.
