Important – you’re about to reserve a place on a course that is officially FULL
Do you panic when someone says “oh you play the guitar, give us a tune”. Your heart sinks, your adrenaline kicks in, you remember all those places where you’ve gone wrong in the past; all while you’re desperately trying to recall something you think you can actually play. In fact, you know that haven’t practised or rehearsed sufficiently – the nerves fire up!
You can learn how to perform playing just the guitar or playing and singing and turn the nerve-racking and palm-sweating into an incredibly rewarding experience. Our course conisders three basics levels of performing:
The great news is that the course group is always a supportive audience as we’re all in the same boat. We’ll look at both guitar and voice:
Since you’ll be playing the songs you want to learn to perform, it would be helpful if you can provide a copy of the song(s) in advance. In addition, if you’re planning to play over a backing track, you’ll need to make us aware of the track. If you want to run the track the PA send us an advance copy.
There will be multiple opportunities for solo performances over the weekend – choose to focus on one song only or perform a few of them – your choice. We’ll also slot in some duet and band exercises as well as structured jamming.
All playing levels
As this course is all about your performance of the songs that you like to play, it’s suitable for players of all playing levels (acoustic, electric and bass). You should have a tune or two under your belt that you can play relatively easily when you’re by yourself. The course is not about teaching you the song – it’s about teaching you how to perform it.
There are a number of ways of attending our courses: residential, non-residential (excludes B&B) and sharing with a spouse/partner. Our prices are all-inclusive:

Our weekend courses are teaching/playing guitar-fests but they’re paced to suit the group so they’re as much about having fun and enjoying a sociable time with fellow hobby players.
Playing together as a group is the best, and most enjoyable, way of learning and experiencing music. The courses have limited numbers to ensure the correct tutor-to-group ratio – book early to avoid disappointment.
Make a weekend of it!
